PHAIDRA Community Call — Wednesday, Sept 3, 2025

:handshake:t2: After two successful community calls in April and July, we have the third community call coming up on Wednesday, Sept 3rd. In this session, we will be focusing on “Development Updates & Roadmap”.

:fire: In this call, our project lead Raman Ganguly will update us on developments in the PHAIDRA world

:it: The Padua team will inform us on the upcoming PHAIDRAcon that will take place on October 31st in Padua, Italy. We will get an overview of the program and some background on the gorgeous location.

:robot: On the development front Rasta, from the PHAIDRA team, will present the tool for uploading digital books, the progress on the bulk-upload feature, as well two smaller utilities: an upload using metadata from Alma catalogue and a bulk-downloader.

The Fedora team will update us on:

  • Completion of the dependency upgrade project and the proposed launch for Fedora 7.x - the next major release for Fedora.
  • What’s included in Fedora 7.x and how the upgrade will work
  • Possible next steps for development for the program

:spiral_calendar: Also, Arran will give an overview of the coming Fedora Camp at the University of Vienna on Sept 10 - 12.
